So sorry if you tuned in last week and noticed I didn't have this posted. I had just gotten back into town from a wedding and came back to a super crazy few days at work.
We are now back to regular programming!
This week I dabbled around in card making.
I see all these cute cards all over pinterest and instagram and decided it was time to try out my own!
My dad has a birthday coming up so I figured why not start with a simple Happy Birthday card.
{He stocks the blog, so act surprised dad when you get this next week!}
I started with getting inspiration.
Candles, balloons, cake, gifts.
SO many options!
I started off with the most simple: balloons.
I cut out the balloon shapes with plain white card stock.
I then covered them with washi tape and then trimmed to match the shape.
Eccentric and wacky, just like my dad!
After covering them in tape, I attached them to a hand cut card with some string.
I added a Happy Birthday stamp, and wa-la! After looking at it on here, it looks super plain.
I'm definitely no expert card maker but it's nice saving $3.99!
Ehh, oh well! Now I know for next time.
