Insta-Recap {Weekend in Dallas}

My weekend according to Instagram.

Everyone, meet my bsf's Amanda Rhea.
She gets married in a little over a month, so we met in Dallas for a semi bachelorette weekend and so she could take her bridal portraits.

 Hanging in the hotel before a full day of shopping!

If I wasn't married, I assume my home decor would look extremely similar to what this hotel was doing. Super girly but super modern.
The walls remind me of a Victoria's Secret bag - love them!

Night one out at Sfuzzi's.
Great pizza.
{Dress // Forever 21}
{Necklace // Groupdealz}

Night two out at Gloria's.
Super good mexican food.
{Dress // Forever 21}
{Necklace // borrowed shorter one, Body Central long one}

What a score I found at the Nordstrom Rack.
Navy Sperry's for only $33!
I couldn't pass them up. My collection was needing a little more glitter.

I also found these beauts at DSW.
I have been on the look out for the perfect pair of nude Jessica Simpson heels, and these were exactly what I was imagining and for only $44.
I mostly needed them for Amanda's wedding, but I know these bad boys will get a lot of play.

Such a fun I weekend!

Tuesday CT and I leave for NYC bright and early at 6am.

Five for Friday {co-host}

Happy Friday everyone!!

This week I'm teaming up with the lovely ladies below to co-host
Five for Friday!
Since my blog is a lifestyle blog, here are 5 things going on in my life!

1. I am currently in route to the Big-D {Dallas} and I'm looking forward to checking out the Container Store, H&M, and Charming Charlie.
My husband and my wallet may not like it, but I'm a newbie to their stores and I'm excited to check them out!

2. I am patiently awaiting the arrival of my new chevron Erin Condren Life Planner. Each time I step foot into Hobby Lobby, Michaels, or Walmart I'm spending a little too much extra time in the scrapbooking/office supplies section.
Since ordering my planner I have purchased new pens, new washi tape, new stickers, and new stamps to help decorate it!
I'm obsessed.

3. CT and I just finished up round two of fertility treatments which unfortunately was ineffective this cycle. Through all of this, Jeremiah 29:11 has been pulling on my heart strings.

 Some day I'll write a post about the process we are going through, but I don't think I'm there yet.
I just gotta keep on truckin' and have faith that our time is coming!

4. This week I tried a new recipe thanks to Pinterest!
{Click here to follow my boards}
Taco Spaghetti was what I experimented with via So, How's It Taste?

CT is extremely picky with his foods but he ate this with no problems!
I followed the directions exactly except I added half a can of rotel and skipped the olives. It was delicious and we had left overs for days!

5. I'm counting down the days . . .
4 days until our 2nd wedding anniversary!
 We will be celebrating in NYC for the week and I couldn't be more excited!
Shopping, baseball, fireworks, and food.
What more could a girl ask for?

Feel free to click the pictures below to check out the other hosts.
Thanks for stopping in!

----------------------------------------------------------

This week, as I was searching high and low for a chip bag clip I couldn't find anything but I stumbled across some clothes pins.

I knew they would be the perfect solution to preventing stale chips!
And what better way to give them a little extra pizazz then add some washi tape!

I then wanted to add some magnents to the back just incase they weren't being used on chips I could use them to help hold  some goodies on the fridge.

The backs aren't the prettiest but they get the job done!

My fridge now has a little bit of color on it!

If you are into homemade gifts, I would recommend these!
Super easy and super cute.

I would also recommend when using washi tape on clothes pen, to use the 3/8 inch size of tape. It covers the pen perfectly with nothing hanging off the edge!

Also linking up with Wow Me Wednesday.

Link up your best washi tape project of the week!
