----------------------------------------------------------------------

My first washi tape craft is this fun decorated frame I did for my 4th of July mantle.

I purchased this unfinished detailed from Michael's last week for 50% off make it only 2.99. [I wish now that I would have picked up a hand full of these in different sizes. I LOVE them!]
I added a coat of white paint figuring it would go with anything.

After it had dried, I added a washi tape border around the inside of the frame. I wanted there to be some contrast between that and what was going to be inside.

Now for the inside of the frame.
Our anniversary is July 2nd and I wanted to incoporate some wedding memorably into our 4th of July decor.

I decided to do our wedding date.
I whipped out my cricut, cut some fancy numbers and hearts, and wa-la it looks great plus it's festive!

It's crazy what a little tape can do.

What's even nicer, is that when I no longer want the frame to have a blue border, it peels right off and can be easily changed.

Link up your best washi tape project of the week!

The collection has closed. Let other people know about it through twitter.

  1. I don't have a washi project at this time to link up but I thought I'd let you know that I am doing a washi giveaway on my blog right now!
